Last week was spent mostly on hustle and working heavily on getting the Thinking.Studio Website updated with industry segment examples of our work. I found it can be really hard for people to understand what we do without concrete examples. We also put together a catalogue of solutions we provide to again help clarify the work we do. Any feedback appreciated by the way! Working with the sales team, getting on the emails, and doing client and sales meetings throughout the week.
This quarter a big focus for the team will be the automation of our support capabilities. We started with a project to automate project reporting from Jira, however, it is expanding into a roster management solution. Last week I developed the scope for this with Jen. This goes hand in hand with the ISO 27001 certification we’re working on. The centrepiece of the distributed support solution is actually Jira Service Desk which works very well once you figure out how to map their solution to your business model.
Karate journey continues every day with ongoing training – nothing major to write about, just that it is great. It’s great to have something flexible I can squeeze in between making dinners and pick ups, and drop offs, and the usual insanity of having four kids – as well as those days when I get to train with the guys for a few hours straight. Love it.
I was also back on the drums last week a few times. Feels a bit like this:
but I am aiming for something more like this…
Nice to see a few wonderful people during the week, and on the weekend too – a big congrats to my dear friends Dexter and Jess who got married on Sunday.
